Double-poke lanes can chip Leona before she enters, while disengage can break Bullet Time. Keep enough health to make one real engage matter.
2. Ashe + Seraphine: Best Pick-and-Poke Duo
Ashe supplies constant slows; Seraphine can turn that setup into stronger control with Beat Drop. At level six, Enchanted Crystal Arrow gives the lane a long-range opener and Encore can extend the catch through more than one target.
This was the most-tested pair here: 54.5% across 4,380 games.
Keep room behind the enemy. Ashe applies the first slow, Seraphine holds Beat Drop, and both step forward together. Call "slow first" then "root now." Firing every spell at once wastes the chain.
Both champions hate side-angle dives. Ward river and lane brush, and stagger your positions so one engage cannot hit both.

3. Jinx + Thresh: Best Catch-and-Reset Duo
Thresh creates a landing spot for Jinx Flame Chompers, then gives the immobile carry an exit with Dark Passage. When the first takedown triggers Get Excited, Thresh can move forward with her or pull her away from the return engage.
The pair posted 54.3% over 2,662 Patch 26.16 games. In 26.17, Riot reduced Flay's active base damage by 10 at every rank and its AP ratio from 70% to 60%. The catch, lantern, and trap chain remain; the lane lost damage.
The sequence is hook or Flay, Chompers on the exit, focus the trapped target. Call "trap behind" or "lantern back."
A missed hook gives the enemy room to push, and a lantern cannot save Jinx if she is too far forward to click it. Pick this when both players enjoy catch lanes.
4. Samira + Nautilus: Best Hard All-In Duo
Nautilus can start with Dredge Line, his passive root, or Depth Charge. Samira wants exactly that kind of committed control so she can enter close range after the target has already lost the freedom to kite.
Their 54.0% result across 2,437 games carried a +3.7% synergy grade. Let the wave sit far enough from the enemy turret that Nautilus has room to connect and Samira can finish.
Call "next hook is live." Samira answers "I can follow" or "no dash" before it lands, avoiding a solo Nautilus engage while she farms a cannon.
Failed entries hurt. If a minion blocks Dredge Line or the enemy survives the first rotation, the pair has little safe retreating damage. Wait until wave and cooldowns agree.
5. Xayah + Rakan: Best Engage-and-Self-Peel Duo
Rakan can start a fight and dash back; Xayah leaves feathers through the space enemies cross to chase him. That gives this pair a second plan after the initial engage: kite backward and punish anyone who follows through the feather line.
Their 53.8% win rate across 1,798 games comes with engage that does not strip the ADC of every defensive tool. Xayah can hold Bladecaller for the retreat and Featherstorm until enemies reach her.
Call the fight's shape: "quick engage, then out" or "feathers set." If Rakan keeps fighting after Xayah kites back, the partnership becomes two separate deaths.
Long-range lanes pressure them before Rakan finds a route. Preserve health and use brush control instead of forcing Grand Entrance through open space.
6. Caitlyn + Milio: Best Range-Control Duo
Caitlyn already controls space with attack range and Yordle Snap Traps. Milio adds more range through Cozy Campfire, plus the shields, movement, knockback, and team cleanse that help Caitlyn keep using it.
The pair recorded 52.8% across 1,750 games with a +3.0% synergy grade. Build a health and wave edge, trap the enemy near turret, and make every engage cross Caitlyn's controlled space.
Call "range window" when Cozy Campfire is active and "trap this side" to deny one escape. Save Breath of Life for a real engage or dangerous control effect.
Hard engage still punishes them. Stagger rather than overlap, with Milio close enough to help but outside the same initiation. If one player wants constant all-ins, choose Samira and Nautilus.
